The Adventist University of Central Africa has, from August 2020, a new Vice Chancellor, Prof Kelvin  Onongha. Prof Onongha holds a PhD in Religion, Mission and Ministry/Religious Education (having won a prestigious award of the Outstanding PhD Dissertation), and is a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Global Mission Leadership from Andrews University. The new Vice Chancellor brings with him a proven and track record experience in research, teaching, mission and leadership. He has taught in various universities around the world (North America, Latin America, Asia, Middle-East and Africa), and has taken on many advisory roles in Andrews University and Adventist University of Africa in academic matters.

A parent, a pastor, a leader and a researcher, Prof Kelvin has climbed all echelons in academia. He sat and chaired numerous international boards and committees, the latest one having been being the Chair and Director of the Practical Theology Department, Doctor of Ministry Programs, at the Adventist University of Africa in Kenya. The entire community of the Adventist University of Central Africa warmly welcomes the new Vice Chancellor and is pleased to wish all the best in his new responsibilities
