Introduction

The degree of Bachelor of Education with Information Technology is intended to help AUCA future teachers to be able to teach information technology or computer in the secondary schools. This responds to the needs of Rwandans and the Government of Rwanda whose desire is to engage in ICT. The Adventist University of Central Africa supports the Government of Rwanda in this endeavour by producing teachers capable of helping in the secondary schools.

Objectives

On the completion of the programme, the student should be able to:

  1. Teach IT in secondary schools
  2. Use IT to solve some of his/her educational problems
  3. Set up computer network in his/her school
  4. Maintain IT equipment of the school
  5. Use computer in the management of the school

In order for AUCA student to graduate with the degree of Bachelor of Education with Information Technology, he/she should complete the requirements as outlined in the above table and as described below.
